Pricing & Billing FAQs

How are VUs (Virtual Users) determined for a test?

Device calibration is conducted to determine the optimal Virtual User Distribution (VUD) value for the number of Virtual Users per load injector server. During calibration, factors such as device tasks, complexity, and required CPU resources are considered. By default, we utilize the average VUD to ensure optimal CPU utilization per load injector (up to 80%) and effective distribution of virtual users between injectors, drawing from our experience. The calibrated Virtual User Distribution varies depending on the type of task:

  • For HTTP/S Tests: 8 to 500 users
  • For Web Page/Web Application Tests: 2 to 8 users
  • For Web Applications with Rich Internet Application (RIA) image validation: 2 to 5 users
Why is calibration for load testing HTTP URL and web applications different?

Testing web applications involves rendering a web page within a genuine browser environment, a process that demands more system resources from the load injector compared to merely sending GET or POST requests to the web server. This distinction is what sets LoadView apart from basic HTTP ping tools like JMeter, offering a more comprehensive testing solution.

What plan do I choose?

Subscription Plans: Opt for our fixed-rate subscription plans, billed monthly or annually, offering rollover of unused virtual user (VU) minutes and load injector (LI) hours. Ideal for tests over $200 and organizations with ongoing testing needs or frequent development cycles.

On-Demand Plan: Perfect for sporadic testing with minimal virtual users and short durations. Pay-as-you-go flexibility ensures you’re only charged for what you use, with no fees for unused resources at the end of the billing cycle.

Can LoadView handle my API testing?

Yes, LoadView’s API testing tools can handle any scenario for API testing.

When will I be billed?
Monthly subscriptions automatically renew every 30 days from your activation date. With the on-demand package, charges occur each time you initiate a stress test.
How does your 90-day money-back guarantee function?

If you choose to cancel your LoadView subscription within 90 days, you’ll only be charged for the months of service used at the standard month-to-month list price, along with any utilized Professional Services hours ($150/hour). Any remaining balance will be refunded to you.

What is the maximum test duration?
You can run an individual load test for up to a maximum of 4 hours. If you want to learn more about maximum test duration, check out our max test duration article.
Why is test calibration necessary before obtaining exact pricing?
Calibrating a test automatically calculates the CPU percentage utilized by the load injector for each concurrent user, indicating the capacity of simultaneous users per load injector. The quantity of load injectors directly impacts the test’s cost.
What happens with my leftover resources?

With a monthly or annual plan, any unused resources seamlessly carry over to the next billing period.

Does LoadView offer professional help with setting up testing?

Yes, we provide Professional Services for load testing. Select the specific elements you require assistance with, and our team of performance engineers will guide you through them.

How do I cancel my LoadView account?

Does LoadView accept credit cards?
Yes, LoadView accepts Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.
How many synchronous/parallel tests can I run?
